Music on the Lawn

This series began Wednesday, June 16, with zydeco masters Little Red and the Renegades. Sandra Y. Johnson and friends played on Tuesday, July 27, with an evening of blues-inflected, hard-swinging jazz. Koinonia is taking a break for the summer, and Jean McKinney invites parishioners to organize their own groups for concerts in this series.

Next concert: Larry Brown Quartet! Thursday, August 19, at 7 pm
“This is straight-ahead jazz at its best, with a forthright approach to well chosen material, supported by first rate soloists and a rock-solid rhythm section." —Peter Westbrook, jazzreview.com. This quartet won the 2009 “Wammie” for best jazz group in the DC area.

No charge; contributions welcome—they’ll supplement Grace’s membership contribution to Washington Interfaith Network.
